Mansoor Hayat reports by

Although many cases of corruption and other issues, our economy can continue to run. There is of course thanks to the mover-movers in the community who do not depend on the regulations and the government. They are rarely known to people is called an entrepreneur. Here are a few of them and the efforts that have been made for the inspiration and motivation for us.

Wimar's World on Wednesday night (28/3) presents three entrepreneurs that Bob Sadino (Kem Chicks supermarket owner), Hadrijanto Satyanegara (PR Manager Patrakom), and Fred Hehuwat (co-founder of Ashoka Foundation Indonesia). They are the ones who did not despair even excited and set an example to us. These pieces of their conversations with Wimar Witoelar
Four Capital Entrepreneur

Wimar: He said, you first sailor, then how do you get to become an entrepreneur to open a supermarket?

Bob: It's simple. I used to work in the Netherlands and around Europe. When he returned to Indonesia, I saw the egg with the egg here is different that I see in Europe.

Wimar: What's the difference?

Bob: Different shapes. So, I ask people to find a chicken that can bertelor.

Wimar: Were you already an expert chicken or the egg?

Bob: One of my factors to be as lucky this time because I do not know anything.

Wimar: Do you have many friends in the bank that could provide the capital?

Bob: Bank just to save it

Wimar: So people do not really need capital to build new businesses.
Bob: What is the sense that capital? Many people simply translate the capital's only object that can be seen and counted it, just money. Actually there is capital that can not be seen. This capital handbook for someone to become an entrepreneur is,

    1.  Must have a willingness
    2.  Determined to
    3. Courage to take chances. There are a million opportunities out there, including within our own bodies

Wimar: Bob, I met many people who want to be enterpreuner. He said, it's hard to because the climate is not conducive, not rule in favor of employers. How is Bob?

Bob: The three factors were not made for someone to enter into enterpreuner. The fourth factor is that you do not be whiny and resilient.
Take advantage of technology

Wimar: We switched to Hadrijanto. Your company provides telecommunications facilities in remote company. How can your company do business in a remote area?

Hadrijanto: We saw a business opportunity and the limitations of telecommunications advice, especially outside Java. They have needs and sometimes their own money. Telecommunications is no longer a requirement but is a primary secondary. Therefore we seek to assist in providing telecommunication facilities in remote areas.

Wimar: How much and where for example?

Hadrijanto: In East Kalimantan hinterland as in Samarinda, Tabang. If now number around 150 units

Wimar: So as a remote area then they should be wireless. So the satellite used.

Hadrijanto: Yeah, we held a stall Satellite Telecommunication (Wartelsat).

Wimar: The key here is expensive but can be done and why people do not pay a premium. So, who provide support so that it is available?

Hadrijanto: Actually that supports the technology. We make use of existing technology. We do engineering technology in it so that we can. In quality it can not reach such as cyber or subscription, but for remote areas in order to have adequate telecommunications facilities.
Wimar: Is the investment would return from the money?

Hadrijanto: It may not come back but we are trying to reach the break event point only. That was nice.

Wimar: That may be the difference between the company you work with Bob Sadino. If Bob, pure entrepreneur is investing and money back. As for you, there are investment and return in the form of community fun.
Ashoka Social Entrepreneurs

Wimar: This is the third Fred Hehuwat. In 1983 he founded the Ashoka Foundation Indonesia. I know because it helped build it, but I do not know the rest. Ashoka used the concept of social entrepreneur. What that concept and what the current Ashoka?

Fred: When we usually associate with economic activity. Indeed, the birth of the term social entrepreneur from Ashoka. If we compare the economic and industrial sectors whose development is so advanced the social field such as education and health remained. If we look at the conditions in Indonesia, the social conditions are very severe. Who handles this? Usually we rely on the government's expectations. We all know the government a lot of limitations. If there is no shortcut that created the situation became more and more behind.

Wimar: What is the one who scouted Ashoka?

Fred: We nurture people who have entrepreneurial programs. Initially, one sees the situation, knowing the field, has a brilliant idea, have the ability to solve problems, not depending on the facilities, and so on, then a brilliant idea that we intend to help. We are looking for people like that.

Wimar: How many people have been building since 1989?

Fred: Now there are about 140 people in Indonesia.

Wimar: It's an international concept. If the example of international concepts, we might better understand the social entrepreneur?

Fred: If we look at the top social entrepreneur is Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh with the Grameen His bank program that won a Nobel prize. The idea that the most unique and good.

Wimar: When I read in your brochure, Ashoka also engaged in many areas. How to overcome these barriers is going on there?

Fred: I think they will not wait for anything but looking at the situation. Different possibilities. Barriers are also different. So they did not wait for something from the outside. Of growing their own ideas, "Oh, things like this. This is what I can do."

Wimar: How do you pick the ones that will be developed that?

Fred: I think we are sorting through those primarily based on the assessment, have the ability? What impact these ideas? If the impact is small, we are not interested.

Wimar: If Bob Sadino 50 years ago that as a teenager, what could be an option Ashoka? Are the conditions that exist in a searchable Bob's Ashoka?

Fred: Maybe yes its properties, but perhaps not his field. Bob would like to be commercially successful, while we value is how it impacts on social life.

Alfi (callers from Bekasi): I am very interested in the Ashoka Foundation Indonesia. How the control mechanisms for people who are supported as an entrepreneur at Ashoka?

Wimar: So the question is how good will these people be controlled?

Fred: First, we have quite a lot of networks that can provide information to us. Secondly, we would monitor how the subsequent development of those who supported.
Indeed Ashoka did not want a lot of control. If entrepreneurs want to grow do not get too much control, so we just monitor it.

Impact of Changes in Government

Wimar: We have experienced a drastic change of government since 1998 until now. When compared with the previous situation, is there a difference in the change for each field of entrepreneur?

Fred: It's different. We used to establish Ashoka must mengumpet-and-seek. Now it is very unimpeded

Bob: Yes there is a difference. But I have not always been interested in government. I just want us to do too much set-set because who knows about me is my business.

Hadrijanto: If we look better now because of its supporting regulations are much better and the attitude of my friends also had a more open area
